Bet you didn't know it as that easy huh? Well, Robbie is moving back in with his mother... taking John with him. Whatever! Anyway, his mother is the one that changes the packing on his holes (ew, I know!) and takes care of him and stuff, so back home he goes. They went down to the precinct this week, since no one from the station would return the phone inquiries regarding progress on the shooting. I suspect they've done... nothing. But at least call and say that you've done nothing if I call to ask what's being done! Anyway, he talked to the sargeant and the sargeant said he would "look into it." We'll see.
On a side note, I called in to talk about the whole think on Derek and Romaine for the "Desperately Fucking Angry" segment. I got on right away (thank you Dangling Dan), I think mostly by virtue of... well... my best friend being shot and stuff. I mean, if that's not a reason to be desperately fucking angry, what is? Derek and Romaine, I love you bitches!

To Know About the Giggleloop is to Become PART of the Giggleloop
I almost got sucked into my own personal giggleloop today.
I'm in Robbie's hospital room with Daryl and John and Robbie's mom when in walk two people from Robbie's grandmothers church. Now I remember the people from the one time I went, and they remember me, but I know (and this was later confirmed) that Robbie has no freaking CLUE who these people are. And of course, being the good church-going folk that they are, they want to pray. Okay, fine, whatever. But if I had known we were bringing invisible friends, I would've stopped and picked mine up on the way.
So we're standing in the obligatory hand-holding circle o'Jesus around the bed. The guy starts praying, and immediately I feel a giggleloop coming on. For one thing, the whole time the guys praying, the woman's muttering "oh praise Jesus, thank you Jesus" over and over, like she's having a jesusgazm or something. So that just about sets me off right there. But then the guy starts going on about "I command you Jesus, heal this man right now!" and I expect him to slap his forehead and shout "BE HEALED!" at any moment. Now, I may be a filthy heathen, but even I would feel a bit presumptuous at ordering Jeebus to do anything, let alone complete heal a man with seven holes in him. So as soon as he starts going on about that, I see this mental image in my head of an empty upside down beer glass slamming down on a table. Then the woman starts going on about all the choirs of angels surrounding the bed, and the ebil voice inside my head goes "We're going to need a bigger room if she summons any more angels..." and I'm off into my own personal internal giggleloop.

Patrick: What's a giggle loop?
Jeff: Don't ask... To know about the giggle loop... is to become part OF the giggle loop!
Steve: I think we can take it .
Jeff: You're not ready for the giggle loop.
Jeff: Basically, it's like a feedback loop, you're somewhere quiet, there's people... it's a solemn occasion, a wedding!.. no, it's a minutes silence for someone who's died!
Steve: Right?
Jeff: Minutes Silence, ticking away... the giggle loop begins! Suddenly, out of nowhere this thought comes into your head: the worst thing you could possibly do during a minutes silence is laugh!
Jeff: As soon as you think that, you almost do laugh! Automatic reaction but you don't... you control yourself! You're fine! But then you think how terrible it would have been if you'd laughed out loud in the middle of a minute silence and so you nearly do it again!
Jeff: But this time, it's an even bigger laugh, then you think how awful this bigger laugh would have been, and so you nearly laugh again only this time, it's a very big laugh, let this bastard out and you get whiplash!
Jeff: ... and suddenly, you're in the middle of this completely silent room, and your shoulders are going like they're drilling the road, and what do you think of this situation? Oh dear Christ, you think it's funny!
