New Job?

So, tomorrow I start my new job with a new, slightly larger paycheck to go with my new (yeah, right) life. Okay so the job is the same thing I've been doing the last 6 years, but... it's on a new floor, at a new desk, with a new manager, and a new job title. That counts, right? Right? And I don't really know if you can call it a life... since it consists of living with my parents, working, and moping around. Well, okay, maybe not so much moping around as I was doing. So now I'm just... around. And the new paycheck doesn't even go with the new job, it's just the normal raise I would've gotten whether I was "promoted" or not, since it was for my performance in the previous year.

But... "new job" sounds better, right? And "new life" sounds so much better than "sad, lonely life", right?

Pentagram Essay: Seal of Solomon

I recently received an email from someone about my pentagram essay. They were specifically referring to the section where I stated the the pentagram is sometimes referred to as Solomon's Seal. She was stating the Solomon's seal is actually a six pointed star. While this is true, the statement I made about the pentagram being called Solomon's seal is also true. Here is the letter that I sent to her in response:

Sorry for the delay in answering your email. I don't often check the email address that you sent the email to. If you don't recall, you sent an email to me regarding the pentagram essay on my site, alliekat.net. You said, "Solomons seal is a 6 pointed star."

In my essay, I did state that the pentagram is referred to sometimes as Solomon's seal. I did point out however, that it was more accurately attributed to the hexagram, that is, the six pointed star. However, the statement I made regarding the pentagram being refered to as Solomon's seal is still correct. It is only in eastern legends that gave the Seal of Solomon is a six pointed star. In western legends, the seal of solomon is attributed to the five pointed star, or pentagram.

In a translation from Arabic, in the Arabian nights, Solomon's Seal was related as a six-pointed star-like figure. However, in Faust, the Seal of Solomon was represented in the scene where Mephistopheles cannot enter into Faust's house because of the presence of the seal, as a five pointed star.
